Hi! Iām Lindsay.
I teach yoga + pilates in Charleston, South Carolina.
After completing my degree in Art History at The University of Notre Dame, I moved to New York City to pursue a career in public relations. It was here that I began my deep dive into yoga and experienced a profound connection with myself and with others that has kept me coming back to my mat ever since.
I did my first teacher training at Pure Yoga in 2009 and have done subsequent trainings at Jivamukti Yoga School and advanced work with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee at Yoga Shanti. Looking to supplement my knowledge of movement and anatomy, I began practicing pilates in 2016. I quickly discovered that the addition of pilates reduced aches and pains, built strength, improved my posture, and taught me a ton about functional movement. I was instantly hooked. Between 2020 and 2022, I completed pilates mat and reformer training at Good Day Pilates in NYC, and have added the tools of that practice to my teachings.
As a teacher, I help students cultivate a feeling of freedom and an awareness of their own strength and ability. My classes incorporate creative vinyasa sequencing with pilates, meditation and good music.
I also love training teachers and in addition to offering individualized mentorship programs for teachers looking to build their skillsets, I have worked as faculty and as a lecturer for teacher training at Sky Ting Yoga and at Yoga Shanti in New York City.
